Uzoho Concedes 5 Goals In Elche’s defeat
Elche’s Nigerian goal tender Francis Odinaka Uzoho conceded five goals against Cadiz who completed a stunning 5-1 victory in Sunday’s Spanish Segunda league .
He had kept two clean sheets in the League before Sunday’s defeat was beaten five times in 12 minutes in the second half of the encounter.
Sory Kaba had shot the visitors, Elche into the lead in the ninth minute but goals from Roberto Correa, Dejan Lekic, Jose Mari (pen.), Salva Sanchez, and Manuel Vallejo handed Uzoho’s team their fourth defeat of the season.
Elche are now 14th with 14 points from 12 games while Cadiz who recorded a remarkable win are 13th in the table but with a superior goal difference to Uzoho’s team.
Uzoho, currently on a season loan deal from Deportivo de La Coruna has been preferred in goal ahead of the veteran goalkeeper José Juan since he returned from international duty this month.
Uzoho has been called up for this month’s 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations qualifier against South Africa in Johanesburg.
